Custom Invitations

Set the tone of your wedding with custom invitations.

As with any of your other wedding vendors, you should feel like you connect well with your paper goods designer. Your personalities should mesh well and you should feel like you’re on the same page creatively. At Invitations by Design, we spend time working with our brides to create unique designs that show off their style, taste and personality.

We know how special your wedding is and how important first impressions are. Your custom design is given all of the special care and personal attention that your wedding invitation deserves.

“Our designers take the time to be sure your invitations are just what you have been dreaming of… then they are printed, hand assembled with care and lovingly mailed to your wedding guests.”

-Tara Vanderheyden, Founder

Custom Options & Pocket Folders

With hundreds of shapes and sizes to choose from and 200+ paper choices we are sure to have the perfect combination for your special day. Our pocket folder invitations are perfect for organizing all your inserts. Our print finish options allow you to wow your guests with the perfect details. Our design team will help you bring it all together to create the invitation you have been dreaming of.

Invitation Boxes

Custom cloth or silk boxes can be created for a grand presentation of your invitations. Size, depth, material, pockets and embellishments can all be customized to create the perfect look. We also offer 2 piece mailing boxes to protect your invitation during mailing.

Custom Invitation Inserts

We offer custom insert cards so you can send the perfect details to each guest. If some guests are invited to a rehearsal dinner or a post event brunch you can include all the details in one invitation. This makes it easier on your guests to keep track of and allows you to collect all your responses at once. We can also customize response cards with guest’s names so it is clear exactly who is invited.

Full Service Assembly & Mailing Services

Here at Invitations by Design we offer full service assembly and mailing services to our clients. No need to spend hours gluing, stuffing, stamping and licking envelopes. Each or your invitations will be hand assembled with care and lovingly mailed out to your guests.

Printing Finishes

Digital: Digital printing allows for full color printing on cardstocks, papers and envelopes. No need to limit the design by color when digitally printing. This printing method allows for a full range of vibrant colors. Digital printing is perfect for a wide range of designs including watercolor, hand-painted, multicolored aesthetics, photos and/or stunning typography.

Digital White: This option allows for white tone to be printed on (typically dark colored) card stocks, papers and envelopes. Digital white allows for variable data so you can even use it to address your envelopes! This type of printing is less opaque than matte white foil but more cost effective and allows for variable printing.

Digital Gold and Silver: Gold and Silver toners can be printed on cardstocks and papers. This digital option is a great way to add a bit of metallic gold or silver to your design. Similar to digital white this is a good way to add a unique printing option when you need smaller quantities or a limited budget.

Letterpress: Letterpress is a relief printing technique created with a printing press. Each color is printed using a unique plate. This technique creates an elegant look that presses into the paper. Heavy-weight stocks will maximize the relief. You can also add additional colors but each color requires a unique plate.

Foil Stamp: Foil stamping applies a pigment or metallic foil (most commonly gold, silver, rose gold or white) to paper. The process presses the design into the paper leaving the foil behind pressed into the paper. This process is the best way to get the most opaque white, gold or silver. Holographic gold and silver are also available. (Many standard and endless custom colors are available).

Thermography: Thermography creates a elegant raised ink. The tactile effect of this process is a great way to achieve a raised ink print with out upgrading to a print process that requires a plate.

Screen Print: You may be familiar with this process for t-shirt printing but it can be used for paper as well. Each color is printed using a woven mesh screen. Multicolored designs can be created by using multiple screens.

Blind Embossing / Blind Debossing: Blind embossing or debossing alters the surface of the paper stock by creating a three-dimensional design. There is not ink just the impression or raised area.

Acrylic Printing: White or full color designs can be printed on stunning clear 1/8” thick acrylic.
